Bad credit loans from $100 to $5,000
One request
Free to ask
Not a lenderSent over an encrypted connection. Checking your options won't affect your credit score.
A cracked tooth, a dead washer, a flat battery. A low score does not make any of them wait. Send one free request, and lenders in our network can take a look. All credit types are considered, and we are not a lender.
The idea in one line
Your score is one number.
This week's bill is a different problem.
A credit score looks back. A lender may also look at your income and what you can repay now, so asking can still be worth a minute. There is no promise of an offer, and you decide what happens next.
Why people ask
Four small emergencies, none of them on your calendar
The tooth that will not wait
The dentist wants paying at the chair, and the pain has no interest in your pay date.

The washer that quit mid cycle
Wet clothes in the drum, a repair quote on the table, and a laundromat bill on top.

The battery that died on a work day
No car can mean no shift, and that costs more than the part. A small sum is only small when you have it.

The refill you cannot skip
The pharmacy counter is a bad place to start choosing between this bill and that one.

Three keys, in this order
You
Set your amount
Pick an amount from $100 to $5,000 in the form. Ask for what the bill needs, not the top of the range.
You
Fill in your details
Name, contact, income and bank details, so a lender can check who you are and where funds would go.
Us, then a lender
Send, then read
We pass your request to lenders in our network. If one makes an offer, read the rate, fees and total to repay. Saying no costs nothing.
Honest about cost
What a short loan can cost, in plain numbers
Example only, not a quote. This is one typical payday loan, using a figure the CFPB reports.
The CFPB says a charge of 15 dollars per 100 borrowed is common, that it can range from 10 to 30 dollars depending on state law, and that this works out to an APR of almost 400 percent for a two week loan (CFPB, read November 7, 2026). We do not set rates or fees. Each lender shows its own terms and other loan types are priced differently, so read the total to repay before you accept.

Asked most
Bad credit loan questions, answered plainly
Can I get a loan with bad credit?
Possibly. All credit types are considered on OppLending, and a low score does not stop you sending a request. Each lender in our network sets its own rules, so an offer is not promised and the amount may be less than you asked for. Some people receive no offer.
Is OppLending a direct lender?
No. OppLending is not a lender and does not make credit decisions. We pass your request to lenders in our network, and any offer comes from the lender itself. The lender sets the rate, the fees and the repayment plan, and you deal with that lender if you accept.
Are bad credit loans safe?
They can be, if you read the offer and check the lender is licensed where you live. The FTC says any fee a lender wants up front, before granting the loan, is a cue to walk away. Nobody here asks you to pay anything to send a request.
What is the highest loan I can get with a 500 credit score?
There is no fixed figure. You can request $100 to $5,000 here whatever your score, and each lender decides what it can offer based on its own rules, your income and your state. With a low score, an offer may be smaller than you asked for, or may not come.
Will asking hurt my credit score?
Checking your options won't affect your credit score. If you go ahead with a lender, that lender may check your credit with the major bureaus or other reporting agencies, and the CFPB says hard inquiries can affect a score. Read the lender's terms before you accept.
How fast can I get a loan with bad credit?
Funds can arrive as soon as the next business day, if approved. Timing is up to each lender and your bank. Requests sent late in the week or before a holiday may take longer to reach your account, so read the funding date in any offer before you accept it.
What do I need to apply?
Usually your name, contact details, income details and a bank account, so a lender can check who you are and where funds would go. The form asks for these once. Have your next pay date to hand, and answer as exactly as you can, because lenders may verify it.
What do these loans cost?
Each lender sets its own rates and fees, and OppLending does not set them. APRs on short term loans vary by lender and state and may exceed 200%. Read the total you would repay in any offer before you accept, and compare it with the example on this page.
